Four time Grammy® Award-winning group Boyz II Men—Wanya Morris, Nate Morris and Shawn Stockman bring their distinctive individual voices and peerless harmonies to songs made famous by Bonnie Raitt, The Manhattans, Journey, The Spinners, Sam Cooke, the Beatles, and Cyndi Lauper. Boyz II Men weave these diverse selections together into an album-length symphony, one that flows seamlessly from an impassioned “I Can’t Make You Love Me” through the shimmering a cappella sound of “Time After Time” to “When I Fall In Love,” a beautiful reworking of a great American standard.

The classic tale of the stuffed rabbit who longs to become real comes to life for a whole new generation in this delightful production. Just as the velveteen rabbit becomes real, the audience's imagination converts three actors and their simple props into a wise old rocking horse, a cavalcade of mechanical playthings, a kind-hearted fairy, and of course, a stuffed rabbit who is transformed by the love of a young boy. The Velveteen Rabbit is a joyous testament to the wonder of a child's imagination.

SATURDAY May 26:

8:00 MASS Ensemble and The Earth Harp Performance starring Superstar William Close.

On The Z stage the Earth Harp is the centerpiece of a musical and theatrical performance group that blends traditional instruments with those as unique as the Earth Harp—like kinetic drum sculptures the Drum Cloud, and Drumbrella, and a three-necked Aquatar which combines guitar, bass and sitar. The golden strings of the harp will extend from the stage to the rear of the theater, spanning over the audience. The audience will experience the performance from inside the instrument! Part sculpture, part instrument, and part architecture, the sound it creates is nothing short of remarkable and resembles that of an entire orchestral string section. This fusion of music, theater, sculpture and dance creates an unforgettable multi-sensory theatrical experience—one suitable as the Finale of the Z’s fantastic 2011-12 Season!

“Accept No Substitutes”
From a mysterious research facility in California to the stages of theatres and festivals across the globe, Zappa Plays Zappa, led by Dweezil Zappa, the eldest son of the late American composer and musician Frank Zappa, is prepared once again to respectfully expose fans to Frank Zappa's extraordinary achievements in music!

Led by his eldest son on guitar, Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa is devoted to performing the music of the late American composer and musician Frank Zappa.

Dweezil Zappa perfectly channels and captures the overwhelmingly oddball yet intricate musical prowess of his dad’s prodigious pop. Leading a seven-top, always-grinning band of the highest caliber, Dweezil brings the muse’s musical tomfoolery to life, delivering a recital of the master musician’s biggest hits and rarities.

The band’s grab bag is vast, with more than 80 studio and live releases recorded before Frank Zappa’s death from prostate cancer in 1993 at age 52. For the last five years, the band has meticulously studied master tapes and offered selections played as true to form as possible.
